Five Things I am Enjoying Today

*Collating Big Blog Card Swap posts and photos. It's so exciting and inspiring seeing everyone's handiwork.

*Reading God Is Closer Than You Think by John Ortberg. I'm only one chapter in but I'm loving it already. Yesterday I read these words, "He sends messages through storms and rainbows and earthquakes, he whispers in a still small voice. He speaks...in ordinary things like cooking and small talk, through storytelling...through sports, music, and books, raising kids - all the places where the gravy soaks in and grace shines through." With them in mind every moment, every day, every task, every step is exciting. Reminds me of this verse:

Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31

*Flowers on our windowsil. T bought me a bunch on Sunday, pink roses, and orchids which are still opening, and yesterday on a whim we got some reduced price irises to go with them. They go together beautifully.

*Anticipation. I'm looking forward to seeing some school friends this weekend. We have fun things and lots of catching up planned. I am hoping to share colourful photos next week... We have plans for our weekends until halfway through June - seeing family, friends and going on holiday. This is all so exciting (although it does make organising house viewings challenging).

*Chocolate. We are still working our way through our Easter eggs. That's really all there is to say about that. Oh, and dinner guests have been very generous recently bringing boxes of fancy chocolates with them.

What five things are you enjoying today?

  1. What beautiful flowers... and mmmm chocolate! My tummy appreciates it a bit too much - keeps clinging to it to make my pudgy. :p
